We will tend to attract people and situations that correspond to our unconscious thoughts, beliefs, feelings, attitudes, and expectations. Therefore if we think, believe, feel, expect, or attitudinally express illness, lack, or unhappiness; those things will come to us. We invite whatever is going on in our lives. If we do not like what is happening, we can change it by changing our thoughts, beliefs, feelings, expectations, and attitudes. So much of this is unconscious, but the first step to change is to be more conscious of all that we think, say, and do. Our thoughts, words, and actions tell the world what we invite to us. Awareness happens in three different places: before, during, or after the fact. What raises awareness is information. Now that we know that our thoughts, words, and actions affect everything; we can be more conscious and be aware even if after th e fact. If we think "I'll never make it," we can change that to "I am enjoying seeing myself succeed." If we say the words, "I feel a cold coming on," we can change to "I am taking care that I feel good each day." If I fuss at a co-worker, I can apologize and point out what I appreciate about him/her." It is never too late to change what we vibrate.

I was listening to Michael Losier talk about this the other day and he reminded me that I can be thoughtfully creating more of what I want in life. What most of us do is list the things we do not want, but we can now use that list to generate what we do want. If my husband/wife has annoying habits, I can focus on his/her strengths and be in appreciation of them thus generating more of the habits I enjoy. Our daily habits affect our daily experiences, so we can begin each day with a list of positive expectations and end the day with a list of appreciations. We can go to sleep with thoughts about what we want our minds to focus on during the night. We really have more power than we think. Working with the energy of the universe to create and enjoy the potential we were designed to have, we find ourselves living with more integrity and spirit.

Contact Pamela Simmons at pamelasimmons@comcast.net.
